Design and Color Theory & Practice - 6 hour
class, maximum 20 students
If terms like analogous, complimentary, hue, tint, and shade mean
nothing to you and you want to learn how to make quilts that YOU
like, here is your chance. In the morning we will look at and talk
about traditional color theory and design elements. You will do
hands-on exercises. You will learn why you like particular color/design
choices, and how to choose fabrics and patterns that fit you. In
the afternoon you will use one block pattern, one main fabric and
background, lots of accents, and work with the concepts you have
learned in class to design a quilt top.
Stripey Quilt - 6 hour class, maximum 20 students
Get ready for another of Linda's quick and easy quilts. This one
is made in strips. Linda will show you how to piece the strips and
quilt the borders. Next you will begin assembly using a method Linda
developed especially for this quilt. You can choose to use up scraps
or coordinate your fabric using a theme. Be ready for the fun because
the quilting happens while you sew the top together. All that's
left is to sew on the binding!
